Today I share one of my favorite Psalms – Psalm 136; this Psalm a prayer of praise for the children of Israel is a wonderful reminder and example of God’s enduring love for His children.
I don’t do this often, but today, I would like to offer a challenge to each of you. Take a moment and rewrite Psalm 136 making it personal to your life, for example:
Lord, I thank you for your goodness to me; Your love endures forever. I will have no other God’s but you in my life – for you are the One True God – Your love endures forever. I give you praise for your healing power which I have experienced multiple times over these past few years. – Your love endures forever. Thank you Lord for creating Sandra with a desire for relationship and then giving me such great ones – Your love endures forever.
Whenever you can, insert your name or the name of others. This makes it much more personal and not just a rewrite of words. I have done this and it is such a joy, encouragement and reminder of God’s enduring and everlasting love for me and those whom I love!
Would love to hear from those who do this… feel free to leave a comment at any time; or email me directly.
Until next time,
